Summary: The threat of open war in on the horizon. The Order and the Ministry are of one accord and both know that where Harry Potter is, Voldemort will eventually be. Preparations are being made and this time the side of the light will not be caught unawares.

Author's Notes: This is the second story in the Hecatemae universe. It starts up just after the end of the first instalment and I advice reading that one first so you understand the premise. Thanks go to my sister Sophie for the beta reading.
It has taken me 12 years to finally get around to finishing this, I very much hope everyone enjoys it.

Please can I make a request? A post when everything is finished with links to where it can be found would be wonderful. I simply don't enjoy WIPs, even when I trust the author to finish them, so I like to wait and then download it all at once! And of course if that info comes bundled with the last chapter I tend to miss it!

That's what this post is for, if has links to AO3 and Wattpad and will have all the chapter links in it as well. It is also linked in every post of the fic, and don't worry I will make sure the last chapter of the fic says it's that last.

Since it has 70 chapters and I'm posting 3 a week (for now - I may change and do more later on because I'm not sure I can wait that long to see what people think ;)) that takes us to May, when it will be finished.

I'm worried if you are all right. You were posting this regularly and I've been hoarding the chapters, waiting until it's all posted because that's the way I need to read long works. But, nothing has been posted since August and I'm concerned. Have I missed it elsewhere?

All it well. Sorry for such a long gap - things just happened and fanfic has to be put on a back burner. I am looking to get back to it very shortly. What's ridiculous is that most of the rest is already done - it's just the next chapter or so that aren't. Thank you so much for caring - sorry to have confused you.
