Turns out Amber likes our fire. We lit it for the first time this weekend and she sprawled out in front of it. She also sat on the sofa with us for the first time :).
The funniest thing was when Amber went up to the coal scuttle, stuck her head in it, sniffed and then sneezed :). She looked most offended when we laughed.
Oh that is ADORABLE. We had a cat who loved the fireplace. It got to the point that she'd sit in front of the unlit fireplace and glare until we lit it.

Smokey loves my fire, but it's gas. I did have to persuade her the first time I put it on not go to up and sniff it.
