Adam's spine and life were shattered by an explosion. Abandoned by 'the organisation', specialists in the weird, unusual and dangerous, he has even lost the friends he considered family. He is all but alone and the last place he would have thought to come up against a shape changer is his own back garden. Under attack from a wereleopard he expects to die, but there are things he does not know, and the assault may actually give him back what he has lost, including the man he loves.
