Cross posting

Is there anyway to turn off cross posting on an entry once you have created it?
I created some entries a while back and wanted them on LJ and here, but I never want them to cross post again - is there anyway to turn it off on the posts or make it remember not to cross post? I keep forgetting and then have to repost the versions on LJ and it is getting really, really annoying.
Thanks for any help.

If the cross post is turned on it will post the entry to LJ if you tell it too either by putting a check in the box at the bottom or changing the defaults in your account setting under 'other sites'. It's when it's not turn on that I have to repost versions on LJ. If turn on any modifications I make to post from DW are automatically done to the post on LJ.
Or you don't want the modifications to happen because the posts are differents from DW and LJ then yes you want the cross post off.

I'm trying to work out if there is a way to make it remember to never cross post these entries again without having to remember to uncheck the little box every time (which I suck at :)).

If so I would maybe set a unique post on LJ. Like copy the existing post and not have it exist on DW, so when you update that post it will not cross post on LJ.
