So I was supposed to be letting everyone know about this last week, but the silly cold took me out of the game, so I'm doing it now, instead.

My latest book is available in paperback and eBook. Finally took the plunge into paperback formatting and have to say, although it is tougher than eBook publishing, KDP and CreateSpace do their very best to make it as smooth as possible. Max Statton's life will never be the same again.

While in Moscow for the premier of his new movie a terrifying encounter reveals some nightmares actually exist. Attacked by one of the city's resident vampires, Max is bitten and infected. Only a team of local vampire hunters prevent him being dragged into the violent underworld of the undead.

Fighting for his very existence, Max must resist the vampire curse with the help of Yulia, the hunter's doctor. But with his humanity slipping away, Max only has two choices: ask the hunters to end it, or risk becoming a monster.

When Yulia offers him a final, desperate, kill or cure option, Max must decide if he has the courage to take it. He wants his life back, and the idea of telling his friend and co-star, Gian Bossard, he's sort of in love with him, doesn't seem so frightening after vampires. However, Yulia's solution could just as easily send him to a worse hell than the one he's living.

I think it may be slipper weather.

I can't wear my slippers in the summer because they are full boot, fluffy ones and they are too warm, but there is definitely a chill in the air now. My only problem is I can't remember where I put them :) Oops. I found one, but I'm pretty sure it's the one surviving one from the old pair that developed a large hole. It also looks like it has been savaged by a ferocious kitty!

I am royally pissed off with the latest Win10 update. It seems to have broken my alarms. I use the alarm clock on windows to tell me to go do things at various times and just now I shut off an alarm and every time I right clicked on something else it came back!

It also seems to have made the lets-open-windows-on-screens-you-don't-have even worse! It used to do it if I'd used a memory intensive program like Photoshop, but now it seems to be completely random. Problem is, it crashes Word. Everything else copes, I just have to right click on the task bar icon while hitting shift and then telling it to move to one of the actual monitors. It doesn't actually put it on the monitor I selected, but it does then put it on an actual screen.

The only way to fix it is to change the display settings of one of the monitors to portrait and then revert it - this seems to make it reset everything so it knows where the actual screens are!

So Wattpad is full of stories, and as you can imagine, not all of them are worth reading. I've been surfing around for the last week or so looking for good things to read and I have found three that I really enjoyed or am enjoying. I've written them up in a post over at Tasha's Thinkings:

For those who are unfamiliar with Wattpad, it is a social media site for posting fictional works. There are FREE apps for most operating systems as well as a web interface, so you can read straight on your phone and receive text updates when a new part is ready. The really good news is I'm serialising it on Wattpad so it's totally free! You'll need a Wattpad account, but you can set one up in seconds using your Facebook login, your Google login or an email and password combination. Wattpad also has apps so you can read straight from your phone or tablet - just go to your app store and search for Wattpad, it will pop up.

If you enjoy the story I really would appreciate it if you added it to your library on Wattpad (the little + button) and gave it a vote - it helps the story be seen on Wattpad so helps me build a readership. Many thanks if you do.

My new vampire novel

Dead Before Dawn: The Vampire Curse

is ready to start posting :)

I will be posting the first chapter on Wattpad tomorrow (Tue 19th Sept). I'm doing all the last minute things today like getting the announcement posts ready for social media and our newsletter. It's going to be fun posting it weekly to see how different it is to posting a whole book at once.

There are going to be two chapters per week: one on Tuesdays and one on Fridays.

Be interesting to see how well this Wattpad thing works.
